Manning positions along the parade route to keep things moving smoothly |
Parade Marshals begin lining up participating units at 11:00 AM. Volunteers
are given a copy of the line up, locate reporting units and get them into
line in the correct parade order. About 85 units of various descriptions
are expected to participate such as marching bands, antique automobiles,
floats and novelty acts.
Basic duties of Parade Marshals include:
Answering questions from spectators. (The Parade Committee will provide
a list of Frequently Asked Questions, with answers.)
Keeping the spectators out of the Parade route. Parade Marshals will
help maintain the curb line, and prevent spectators from moving into the
street.
Be available from check-in at 10:00 AM, until 2:00 PM.
Be pleasant and helpful.
Be willing to have fun. Most people who attend our Parade are well-behaved.
So, your job is often not very difficult, meaning you'll have more fun!
Volunteers are asked to report to the SE corner of Tejon Street and E.
St. Vrain about 10:30 AM on parade day (Saturday, March 15). The last unit
moves out of the formation area at approximately 12:30 PM.
Volunteers are required to sign a Liability Release form prior to participation. |
